We learn from the 2015 General Elections that tthe average number of competing political parties of the Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw, Region and State Hluttaws is 5, and that of the Ethnic affairs minister posts is 6. The constituencies with the highest number of political parties competed was 14 and the least is 2.
