၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ် မွန်ပြည်နယ်လွှတ်တော်မှ ပြဋ္ဌာန်းသော ဆားနှင့်ဆားထွက်ပစ္စည်းဥပဒေဖြစ်သည်။ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်များအနက်တစ်ရပ်မှာ သစ်တောပြုန်းတီးမှု မရှိစေဘဲ ဆားနှင့်ဆားထွက်ပစ္စည်းကို ထုတ်လုပ်နိုင်စေရန်ဖြစ်သည်။ ဤဥပဒေအရ ဆား သို႔မဟုတ် ဆားထွက်ပစ္စည်းကို စီးပွားဖြစ် ထုတ်လုပ်လိုသူသည့် ဆားလုပ်ငန်းဦးစီးဋ္ဌာနသို လိုင်စင်လျှောက်ထားရမည်။ လိုင်စင်မရှိဘဲ ဆားနှင့် ဆားထွက်ပစ္စည်းကို စီးပွားရေးအလို႔ဌာ ထုတ်လုပ်ခြင်းနှင့် စားသုံးရန်အလို႔ဌာ ထုတ်လုပ်သောဆားများတွင် အိုင်အိုးဒင်းအာဟာရအား သတ်မှတ်ထားသည့် စံချိန်စံညွှန်းနှင့် အညီ ဖြည့်စွက်ရန် ပျက်ကွက်ခဲ့ပါက ထောင်ဒဏ်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ငွေဒဏ်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ဒဏ်နှစ်ရပ်လုံးဖြစ်စေ ကျခံရမည်ဖြစ်သည်။
In 2014, Mon State Hluttaw passed the salt and salt products law. One of the objectives is to enable salt and salt products manufacturing without deforestation. According to this law, whoever wants to manufacture salt or salt products for commercial purposes shall apply to the department of salt industry for license. Whoever violates by manufacturing salt or salt products without license, or by failing to add iodine in comply with standard shall be punished with fine or imprisonment or both.
