In 2013, Mon State Hluttaw passed the systematic production and use of fertilizers law. One of the objectives is to to support the conservation of soil and environment by utilizing suitable fertilizers. According to this law, no one shall, without the registration certificate, produce fertilizer for commercial purpose. No one shall use the fertilizer in purposes other than agriculture. Whoever violates the prohibitions shall be punished with fine or imprisonment or both.
